In 2018, American Councils became the first U.S. NGO registered in Uzbekistan in more than a decade, an event heralded by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the White House. We are thrilled to reopen our Tashkent office and look forward to working with the people of Uzbekistan through our transformational programming.
