Nathan Ruiz, Senior Vice President of National Security, joined Govini in January 2021. In his current role, Nathan leads Govini’s engagement with the Office of Secretary of Defense (OSD), the Fourth Estate, and Interagency Civilian agencies. He is responsible for both sales and client delivery. Nathan joined Govini after working as the Managing Director of Partnerships at Dcode, a D.C. based tech accelerator helping emerging technology enter the federal market. Previously he worked as Director, Client Success at Optoro, a leading Washington, D.C. tech company helping retailers manage and optimize merchandise returns. Prior to that, he led corporate partnerships for the FBI’s premier private sector outreach program.
Nathan served a decade on Active Duty as a Special Agent with the USAF Office of Special Investigations (OSI). His assignments included selection to lead the personal security detail for the Chief of Staff, USAF as well as the Commander of U.S. Transportation Command. Notably, Nathan was appointed head of Agency for the USAF OSI Detachment at the U.S. Embassy, Paris. He currently serves as a Lieutenant Colonel in the USAF Reserve. He has commanded at the Detachment and Squadron levels. Nathan holds a BS from the U.S. Air Force Academy, an MA from the Naval Postgraduate School, an MBA from Georgetown University, and is an honor graduate of the Defense Language Institute’s intensive French Language program.
