American Councils was named an Undesirable Organization by the Russian Federation on March 7, 2024 (Federal Law No. 129-FZ of May 23, 2015). It is our understanding that visiting Russia while displaying any public association with American Councils or programs it has administered (including displaying such programming anywhere on social media feeds) is against this law. American Councils has no other information on this decision by the Russian Federation and cannot provide any further guidance at this time.
